Sugaring is a unique and innovative process for the removal of unwanted facial and body hair. At New Image Day Spa, we use Alexandria Sugar Paste. Our estheticians are also Certified Alexandria Professionals, trained by the only sugar epilating company to be approved by a National Accrediting Company NACCAS (National Accrediting Commission of Cosmetology Arts & Sciences).
The sugaring method of hair removal is a safe, virtually pain-free, and effective solution for both women and men. It works by extracting hair in its natural direction of growth and does so when the hair is still in the early growth stage, eliminating breakage, unnecessary discomfort, irritation, and ingrown hairs, while exfoliating dry skin cells. The result is smooth, beautiful skin, without the discomforts of other hair removal techniques.
Keep in mind that when our technicians use the Sugaring method of hair removal, they have received specialized education, and it often takes longer and is physically more strenuous for them to perform this service. This is why the sugaring method has a slightly higher service price.

Sugaring is applied onto the skin by hand at a lukewarm temperature.
No risk of burning your skin! This is where the sugaring magic begins to happen with our clients. When the sugar paste is massaged onto the skin, it allows the paste to seep into the follicles which in turn allows the body hair to “slide” out more comfortably for a complete extraction without body hair breakage. The Alexandria technique requires at least 1/4 inch of hair growth for body treatments, eliminating the long wait between hair removal visits and customer frustration. It is recommended to pre-trim the hair with trimmers or scissors down to 1/4 inch, prior to the service.
